Frequently Asked Questions
Are you UK GDPR compliant and do you sign a Data Processing Agreement?
Yes. We sign a UK GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement with every customer that handles personal data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and our internal practices are audited annually.
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule and do you implement it?
Three copies of data, on two different media, with one off-site. Yes, every managed-backup customer is configured to a 3-2-1 baseline as a minimum, with most environments running 3-2-1-1-0 (one immutable copy, zero verification errors).
How quickly can you restore from a ransomware incident?
Restore time depends on data volume and target environment, but our SLA targets are: 1 hour to first restored critical service for endpoint compromise, 4 hours for server-class workloads, and 24 hours for full environment restoration from immutable backups.
Do you test backups regularly?
Yes. Every managed-backup customer gets monthly restore tests with documented evidence, plus an annual full disaster-recovery exercise that simulates loss of an entire site or cloud region.
Where is the data stored?
Backup data for UK customers is held in UK or EU regions by default, with optional geo-redundancy. We never replicate UK customer data to non-adequacy jurisdictions without explicit written approval.
