Authors of our compliance & tax-tech articles

The compliance team writes our coverage of UK regulatory topics: Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, the Cryptoasset Reporting Framework, UK GDPR, NIS2 and Cyber Essentials. The team includes practitioners with backgrounds in regulated FinTech and SME bookkeeping, and works with external chartered accountants for review of tax-adjacent material. We do not give tax or legal advice — articles are explicitly informational.

SmartPath AI Engineering Team

Builders of PathFinder AI and our AI-assisted support stack

The AI engineering team builds PathFinder AI, our incident-response platform, and operates the retrieval-grounded support assistants we use internally. Backgrounds span platform engineering, applied ML, observability and on-call SRE. The team is responsible for our published positions on agentic AI, RAG grounding and human-in-the-loop design.

Authors of our cloud, backup and resilience articles

The infrastructure team designs, deploys and runs the cloud and backup workloads behind our managed IT customers. Members hold cloud certifications across Azure, AWS and GCP, and have run production environments for UK SMEs in regulated sectors. They write our coverage of disaster recovery, backup architecture (3-2-1-1-0), cloud cost optimisation and migration patterns.

The security team handles managed detection and response, vulnerability management and incident response for our customers, and is the front line for our 24/7 SOC. Backgrounds span penetration testing, blue-team operations, GRC and security architecture. We write our coverage of ransomware defence, NCSC-aligned incident playbooks and Cyber Essentials Plus preparation.
